I am back from a whirlwind week of sun, surf, and skin! The Caribbean was great, ...when we weren't running for our lives from hurricanes. Read on for a brief travelogue and some pics!
This was our ship, the Caribbean Princess. It's brand spankin new, commissioned of April of '04.
| Originally, we were going on a West Caribbean cruise, but due to hurricane Ivan, we got re-routed to an East Caribbean cruise. Then, after 3 days at sea, hurricane Jeanne formed and we had to turn west and backtract to Jamaica, which was hit by Ivan just 2 days earlier. |
So, needless to say, we spent most of our time out at sea. But hey, I got some great cloud pics! lol

Jamaica was trashed, so we stayed close to the beach and the boat.
| Our only other stop was at Nassau, in the Bahamas. We hung out at the beach here as well and did some poking around. The parasailing was great. |
Formal night on the ship brought on severe mounds of food. At any given time, King Crab, Lobster Claws and Tails, Fillet Mignon, Creme Bruille, and everything else you could spend a fortune on eating was readily available 24/7.
The wind was a welcome relief from the 89 degree weather with the 70 percent humidity. |
And you thought I was going to post pictures from the topless beach. HA! Those are for my private collection. But if you ask really nice, I might tell you about the Jamaican woman frolicking around in nothing more than a leopard thong! That was probably the best part of the trip, ...well, that and the horrendous gas! I've never had more fulfilling gas!
